Scholar Support Programme (SSP)

Scholar Support Programme (SSP) aims at extending personalized additional support to students in chosen subjects of the curriculum, challenging to the student, identified through a systematic result analysis.  

The Scholar Support Programme aims at imparting

  • personalized additional support to needy students through Tutorials
  • study materials, additional lectures
  • question banks and interactive sessions
  • formation of Quality circles in colleges for the programme
  • Dissemination of classes through Personal and Web based modes etc.

 A college should select a maximum of 6 subjects and 50 students for the Programme, one of the subjects has to be English (Part I) for 10 students.  The other subjects may be identified as per the needs of the college and students and based on Results Analysis work for the Scholar Support Programme. A coordinator identified from among the faculty would supervise the conduct of the Programme in the Colleges

The Government of Kerala had launched the Scholar Support Programme (SSP) in the Government Arts & Science Colleges during 2012-13. It was extended to 27 Aided Arts & Science Colleges during 2013-14. The Programme was given to all the Aided Arts & Science Colleges in 2014-15.
